India is a huge market for cricket. People in India worship cricket. 1792 European merchant sellers in Calcutta formed a club in Calcutta and introduced cricket to India. India received Test Nation status on June 7 at Lord’s Ground. For a long time, India was a weak team. But in the sixties, India found some players who would take the team to heights. Among them was Sunil Gavaskar, a World Class batsman. Sunil Gavaskar was the inaugural batsman for India. He is honored that he scored the first 10,000 runs in world cricket.

Former Pakistan captain Imran Khan was asked in an interview whether he had a good batsman, Sachin Tendulkar or Sunil Gavaskar. He said Sunil Gawaskar was the fantastic,

India’s bowling was very weak. But they had good spiners who could turn the match around. After that, MS Dhoni, who became the successful captain of Indian history and Virat Kohli, who is considered as the best batsman in the world and he is fast becoming the world record of all cricket. They are getting the highest score after Sachin Tendulkar. Sachin Tendulkar is the greatest cricketer in the world and he is called ”Little Master”.
